Heike Bach is one of a select group of scientists taking Earth
Observation techniques out of the research lab and applying them to the
real world. A decade ago she founded the company VISTA ?± Remote Sensing
Applications in Geosciences, with the motivation of transferring
scientific results in the field of Earth Observation into hydrological
