e-GEOS signs a multi-year contract in China with Vastitude

e-GEOS, a joint venture between Telespazio (80%) and the Italian Space Agency (20%), and Beijing Vastitude Technology, Chinese company active in the field of remote sensing and geo-information, have signed a multi-year agreement for the distribution in China of satellite data and related operational services generated by the Italian COSMO-SkyMed constellation.

The Swedish National Space Board (SNSB) has accepted the delivery of the Copernicus Data Hub from Spacemetric.

The Copernicus Data Hub, referred as SWEA, is a system in Sweden for long-term storage and distribution of imagery from the Sentinel satellites of the European Copernicus programme for Earth Observation. Following the successful acceptance, Spacemetric is seeking new ways of introducing the Copernicus Data Hub in other countries as well as adapting it for the upcoming DIAS procurement from ESA.

GAF AG and partners will investigate the future evolution of Copernicus land services based on Sentinel data - The ECOLASS project

(Munich, 31 January 2017) A European consortium coordinated by GAF AG has been selected to implement the research project “Evolution of Copernicus Land Services based on Sentinel data” (ECoLaSS) under the Horizon2020 Space call EO-3-2016. Focusing on Sentinel time series data, the project will explore innovative future Copernicus Land service products of the continental and global Land component and demonstrate pre-operational prototypes thereof.

Airbus Defence and Space Celebrates Five Years of the First Pléiades Satellite Launch

Five years ago, the very high-resolution satellite Pléiades 1A was launched from the Guiana Space Center, joined by its twin Pléiades 1B a few months later. This was the start of what is known as the Pléiades constellation, which makes it possible to create imagery product of every point of the globe at a 50cm resolution within a few hours and to guarantee a daily revisit, with more than one million km² acquired each day.

European Space Imaging reached again 100% collection success with VHR data supply to European Commission’s CwRS Campaign

(Munich, 16/11/16) European Space Imaging (EUSI) completed the 2015 Controls with Remote Sensing (CwRS) program for the European Commission (EC) with 100 % success rate. The Munich-based company collected and supplied very high resolution (VHR) satellite imagery over nearly half a million square kilometers and demonstrated again its capacity and reliability as Europe’s leading VHR data provider.
