GeoVille GmbH is private sector enterprise and a leader in satellite based environmental monitoring dedicated to providing value-added services related to Earth Observation data and Geographic Information Systems. In more than 20 years of operation, GeoVille has established a broad international client base through more than 450 projects worldwide.
In order to strengthen our team we are looking for a motivated Project Manager (m/f/d) for leading and implementing projects in our Department for International Development Assistance. In collaboration with our technical teams and technology partners you will develop innovative Earth Observation solutions for international clients.
The position addresses all aspects of business-driven project management in a growing high-tech sector: project planning, execution and controlling according to established project and quality management standards, the coordination of international and interdisciplinary project teams, the identification of new business opportunities and service offerings, the promotion of our products and services and consultancy to our international partners and customers.
Location: Innsbruck / Austria, full-time
Your profile
— University degree (MSc), preferably in the fields of natural sciences or information technology, as well as a minimum of 3 years of professional working experience
— Professional experience in project management; relevant certification advantageous (e.g. PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2)
— Knowledge of satellite Earth Observation data and geographic information systems as well as interest in working with geoinformation in the environmental domain
— References in working with international institutions in the Earth Observation sector (especially European
Space Agency) and knowledge of international programmes for Office Development Assistance
(e.g. European Commission, DG DEVCO or other national and multilateral institutions) desirable
— Interest in working with international project partners and clients
— Ability to mediate stakeholder interests and consider technical and business aspects
— Open-minded for new topics and challenges
— High level of self-motivation, responsibility and proactivity coupled with strong communication skills and assertiveness
— Process-oriented mindset and problem-solving skills
— Willingness to travel
— Excellent command in English
