Under the deal valued at more than $11.3 million, Com Dev will develop receiver, control and monitoring, and low and high-power transmitter modules for a subsystem on the spacecraft.
“This Earth observation mission provides us with a significant opportunity to move up the value chain in the civil space market,” John Keating, CEO of Com Dev, said in a statement. “For the first time we are delivering a high-power transmitter in addition to a receiver system. We are also performing system integration work for one of the satellite’s four instruments. In taking on this larger role, we are broadening the range of our customized civil space solutions and demonstrating our ability to meet the unique needs of our customers.”
