City of San Jos?‡ selects PCI Geomatics to provide image loading solution

Richmond Hill, Ontario ?± July 19, 2006:

PCI Geomatics?‹, a world-leading developer of image-centric software and solutions for the geospatial industry, has been selected by the city of San Jos?‡, California, to implement its progressive GeoRaster (ETL) technology. PCI??s GeoRaster ETL is a powerful Extract, Transform and Load tool for populating Oracle 10g GeoRaster enterprise databases.

The city of San Jos?‡ has adopted Oracle Spatial as its GIS standard. Looking to consolidate their mass of information, the city is working towards creating a one stop information source for managing images, maps, and other spatial information about the city.

Released in 2004, GeoRaster ETL was the first solution available for loading large volumes of imagery to Oracle 10g. This technology allows users to store, index, query, analyze, and deliver images and their associated metadata.

?®Like many organizations, municipalities are facing a growing amount of spatial information,?∆ said Brad Schmidt, VP of Sales at PCI Geomatics. ?®Our Services team will integrate GeoRaster ETL into the City of San Jos?‡??s existing infrastructure to build a powerful image loading system.?∆
