Book on "History of Earth observation in Europe"

This book was realised under the auspices of the “Institut Français de l’Histoire de l’Espace” (IFHE) and is entitled « Observation spatiale de la Terre – Optique et Radar- La France et l’Europe pionnières ». It provides a comprehensive overview over a period of 50 years (1965-2015) of Earth observation activities and applications performed in Europe.

(16 October 2017) When disaster strikes, a group of international space agencies pools its resources and expertise to support relief efforts on the ground. For the next six months, ESA will be leading the International Charter Space and Major Disasters as it brings information from satellites to the aid of the vulnerable.
