ORG Informatics acquires business from Belgium firm

ORG Informatics on Tuesday said it has acquired ‘Satellite Based Business’ from Belgium-based Belgacom NV/SA.

However, the financial details were not revealed. In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the firm said the acquisition would help in strengthening its satellite services in Europe.

The company would also obtain operating control of two teleport sites in Belgium — in Lessive and Liedekerke. Moreover, the Lessive site that operates Belgacom’s international carrier traffic would enable the firm to expand its presence in South Asia and Africa.

ORG Informatics is a service provider in remote sensing, photogrammetry and software development, among others.

Shares of the company closed at Rs 95.95, down 0.62 per cent on the BSE.
