Emmanuel Pajot
Secretary General
Emmanuel is the lead person in EARSC for the MAEOS and eoMALL implementation. Geologist, he is a geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing specialist with over 13 years of experience in field projects and research studies for the Oil & Gas sector. He has demonstrated his ability to work closely with end-user organisations, and to deliver services that met customers’ requirements. With considerable project management expertise, he uses a multidisciplinary approach to develop new innovative tools and methodologies.

Geoff SAWYER
Expert Adviser
Geoff was the Secretary General of EARSC from 2011 to 2020. He has driven the development of the Association into the widely known and well-regarded organisation it is today. During his long and varied career, Geoff has held senior management positions in the space industry with Astrium / EADS / Airbus as well as numerous representative positions in the UK and Europe. He was previously a director of EARSC for 12 years during which he was chairman for 6 years from 1991 to 1997. He has served on many EU consultative bodies such as Spassec (for space and security) and the SecAG (Security Advisory Group) and in industry representative groups for example the chairman of the ASD security research committee. In addition to his extensive industrial experience, Geoff spent 3 years working for the European Commission where he was responsible for supporting space policy and, in particular, the creation of the GMES initiative. Geoff is very well known to many in the space and earth observation sectors and brings this deep wealth of experience and knowledge to support the ambitions of the geo-information industry that EARSC represents.

Monica Miguel-Lago
Senior Project Manager
Monica is an oceanographer, with proven ability and experience of conducting International Programmes. All through the last years, she has enjoyed the great opportunity to work in Earth Observation closely with different stakeholders from most highly regarded technological related firms and institutions, as research centers, ESA, EU, or UN departments. Her background as a scientist coupled with her personal know-how on outreach projects or organizational events has equipped her with a multitude of skills for a professional development at European Framework and specially on promoting awareness on the capabilities and limitations of Earth Observation. She was working as executive secretary since October 2004 and she is now managing EARSC projects.

Natassa ANTONIOU
Project Officer (market development)
Natassa has 6 years working experience in space policy and earth observation both in the public and private sector. Throughout her career, she has been closely cooperating with several Inter-Governmental organizations, such as GEO, CEOS, UNSPIDER, the European Space Agency and the European Commission. Since 2014, she has been focusing on raising awareness about benefits and applications of geospatial technologies for governance, businesses and citizens. Natassa has a master degree in Urban Environmental Management and also attended the International Space University’s 2012 Space Studies Programme.

Rory Donnelly
Business Development Manager
Monica is an oceanographer, with proven ability and experience of conducting International Programmes. Weronika BOREJKO
Junior Project Officer
Weronika is a highly motivated graduate of two faculties – Administration and Social Sciences, and American Studies. She broadened her international experience while studying at University of Florida and at University of Malaga. After graduation she acquired her initial experience in project management by coordinating project in European space industry (ESA JUICE mission) and in IT sector (CGI). She is interested in ecology, especially in the energy sector and she is passionate about animals. Weronika speaks fluently three languages – Polish, English, and Spanish, and is on her way to learn French.

Christopher Oligschlager
Market Analyst
Christopher supports the EARSC secretariat in the IDEEO and SeBS project as junior analyst. He holds a Bachelor degree in European Studies from Maastricht University and a Double Master’s degree in Governance and International Politics from Aston University Birmingham and Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. After having finished his studies in 2017, he gained first work experience at the Institute for European Politics in Berlin and the OSCE’s Conflict Prevention Centre in Vienna before entering the space community through a traineeship at Business Bridge Europe, developing a great interest in European space policy and concrete space applications through earth observation.

Delphine MIRAMONT
Policy Officer
Delphine is in charge of policy activities for EARSC. She holds a Master degree in Law and International relations from Toulouse University and is currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in space law. She is very passionate about the space sector and the use of geoinformation.

Francesca PIATTO
Project Officer
Francesca is a project officer working on the e-shape Project. Prior to joining EARSC, she worked for the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Rosario (Argentina) assisting with EU projects, and Business Bridge Europe, where she worked for the annual EU Space Conference. Francesca holds a MA in EU external relations and international migration from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.

Marion BOUVET
Communication Officer (Membership care)
Marion is in charge of communications and members activities. She also supports the secretariat with networking with European Institutions. She is a Freelance professional with 7 years of experience in EU Public Affairs and communication with also 10 years as an entrepreneur in the food sector. She holds a Bachelor degree in Law and a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in France.
