AGM announcement: 11 June

The election is an opportunity for EARSC Full Members to engage in the governance of the Association, contribute to its strategic direction, and help shape actions supporting the Earth Observation industry.

Directors are elected amongst EARSC Full Members. Either a CEO of a company or, in the case of large companies, a Head of an internal Unit can be selected as a Director of EARSC. As per Article 11 of the EARSC Statutes, at least one director shall be of Belgian nationality.

Candidates are invited to submit a short statement together with their CV by 8 May 2026 to info@earsc.org.

⚠️ Please note that candidates, or standing Directors, who do not provide these documents will not be eligible for the election.

Serving as a Director requires a strong level of commitment. Key responsibilities include:

  • 4 Board meetings per year (approx. 3 hours each), held in person in Brussels or at stakeholder premises across Europe.
  • Monthly online interactions (approx. 1.5 hours each), plus occasional ad hoc online meetings as needed.
  • Specific tasks and representation at industry meetings and relevant events where leadership engagement is required.
⚠️ Expenses related to Board meetings and Directors' activities are not covered by the Secretariat. A general guideline suggests dedicating approximately one hour of preparation for each hour of Board meeting.
