An opportunity for Full Members to shape the future of the Earth Observation industry.
According to Article 11 of the EARSC Statutes, members of the Board of Directors are elected by the General Meeting for a defined mandate. Directors serve a term of two years, while those holding officer positions serve a three-year term.
The election is an opportunity for EARSC Full Members to engage in the governance of the Association, contribute to its strategic direction, and help shape actions supporting the Earth Observation industry.
Who Can Apply?
Directors are elected amongst EARSC Full Members. Either a CEO of a company or, in the case of large companies, a Head of an internal Unit can be selected as a Director of EARSC. As per Article 11 of the EARSC Statutes, at least one director shall be of Belgian nationality.
How to Apply?
Candidates are invited to submit a short statement together with their CV by 8 May 2026 to info@earsc.org.
Directors' Duties
Serving as a Director requires a strong level of commitment. Key responsibilities include:
- 4 Board meetings per year (approx. 3 hours each), held in person in Brussels or at stakeholder premises across Europe.
- Monthly online interactions (approx. 1.5 hours each), plus occasional ad hoc online meetings as needed.
- Specific tasks and representation at industry meetings and relevant events where leadership engagement is required.
