Who can join?
Are you an Earth Observation company based in the EU or an ESA Member state with an innovative product that supports the Green Deal and/or sustainable development agendas? This is your chance to promote it!
Here’s how it works:
- Submit your application through the form.
- Using the criteria mentioned below, the EARSC Secretariat will select up to 8 applications to be submitted to the jury.
- Our esteemed jury, composed of internationally recognised experts, will carefully select the winner among the applications.
- The winners will be announced at the prestigious EXPANDEO 2025 cocktail event.
Deadline for submissions: April 4
Eligibility criteria:
- Your company is registered in the EU or an ESA member state.
- Your product can be a platform*, value-added product** or intermediate product***.
- There is no criteria for when the company has to have been established, but the product has to show a high level of maturity (i.e., operational product with established users/customers). If you are a start-up with an innovative product, you may also want to apply for the EARSC Start-Up Award, in case your product does not meet the threshold for the Product Award.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Innovation: this criteria aims to evaluate how innovative the product is, across three aspects: the solution the product provides, the methodology used to develop the product, and how barriers/challenges faced during the development of the product were overcome.
- Scalability, replicability and long-term sustainability: this criteria will evaluate the potential of the product to be used in different target markets (geographically or sectorally) on top of the one it was originally intended for, as well as partnerships and collaboration that can ensure its long-term sustainability.
- Impact: this criteria aims to evaluate the potential socio-economic and environmental benefits of the product, including as linked to the Sustainable Development Agenda or the EU Green Deal.

*A platform is understood as any service/tool that provides access to EO (and other) data, in addition to flexible processing, visualisation and custom product creation.
**Value-added products are understood as fully-processed, decision-ready outputs from EO data that are ready to use directly by end-users.
***An intermediate product is understood as partially processed EO data positioned between raw data and a “final product”, which can be used/integrated into other solutions (e.g. platforms) and requires additional processing for actionable insights.
