Spot Image and ImageONE signed channel partnership agreement for distribut

Spot Image and ImageONE have signed a commercial partnership agreement
giving ImageONE exclusive rights to distribute FORMOSAT-2 data to the
entire Japanese market. The agreement also grants three minutes per day
priority reservation of the satellite??s resources on the orbit west of

Scientific Council of the European Research Council announced

Today the European Commission is announcing the names of the 22 eminent
men and women who will be the founding members of the Scientific
Council of the European Research Council (ERC), a funding organisation
for frontier research proposed by the European Commission under the
Seventh Research Framework Programme (2007-2013). The Scientific
Council will be an independent body whose role is to determine the
ERC??s scientific strategy and ensure that its operations are conducted
according to the requirements of scientific excellence. The 22
scientists were chosen by an independent panel of high-level
scientists, chaired by Lord Patten of Barnes, Chancellor of Oxford and

UK Goverment Space Questionnaire

2005 is a critical year for the development of space activities in
Europe and the UK.
In Europe, it is currently expected that the European Space Programme
(ESP), defining European priorities for the European Union (EU), the
European Space Agency (ESA) and their Member States, will be concluded
at a EU / ESA Ministerial Space Council in December. The following
month will see commitments to programmes at the ESA Ministerial
Council. And negotiations continue to establish the role of space in

Minister Junichiro Koizumi will propose easing conditions on Kyoto
Protocol projects to make emissions credits easier for Japan and other
nations to get, government sources said.
Preventing global warming is one of the top issues on the
agenda for the G-8 summit from Wednesday to Friday in Gleneagles,
Scotland, along with addressing poverty, especially in Africa.
