The acquisition makes Synoptics a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vexcel Corporation, with Dr. Hans van Leeuwen serving as Director.

“Synoptics’ GIS expertise and partnerships will help us gain a stronger foothold in Europe for our remote sensing
services business, specifically SAR-derived subsidence and land deformation monitoring,” stated Dr. John Curlander, CEO of Vexcel Corporation.

“Working closely with Vexcel’s Canadian office, they will also serve as an outlet for our desktop scientific software products developed by Vexcel Canada and ultimately our photogrammetric products developed at Vexcel Austria and in
Boulder.”

Since 1995, Synoptics has specialized in providing satellite-based geo-data and GIS tools for monitoring
agricultural, water, nature and environmental processes. Its off-the-shelf products include digital crop maps and digital elevation maps that allow for rapid production and distribution. Through its applied knowledge in remote sensing and its GIS expertise, Synoptics continues to develop and produce custom management and planning
geospatial solutions for customers.

“We are excited to become a part of the Vexcel team,” added Hans van Leeuwen, Director of Synoptics. “We look forward to making a real impact in this market using Vexcel’s world-class technologies such as EarthView?Ü.”
