Online services are now available on MACC project’s website

The GMES atmosphere monitoring service is being developped by MACC (Monitoring Atmospheric Composition and Climate), a project funded under the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union.

MACC operates and improves data-analysis and modelling systems for a range of atmospheric constituents that are important for climate, air quality and surface solar radiation. Product lines include data records on atmospheric composition for recent years, data for monitoring present conditions and forecasts of the distribution of key constituents for a few days ahead.

Pre-operational versions of the services developed by MACC are now available on the project’s website ( and can be accessed either by theme (e.g. European Air Quality) or by type of user (e.g. Citizens).

More information is also available on this website on the atmosphere-dedicated page
