In more than 20 years of operation, GeoVille has established a broad international client base through more than 450 projects worldwide.
In order to strengthen our team we are looking for a motivated Geographer / Earth Scientist (m/f/d).
Location: Innsbruck / Austria, full-time for leading and implementing projects for international customers.
The position is allocated to GeoVille’s Technical Department and builds upon your domain expertise in geography and environmental science to develop and implement Earth Observation solutions from the user perspective. As project manager you will lead projects according to established project and quality management standards, contribute to the development of new service offerings, coordinate international and interdisciplinary project teams, support the Commercial Department to identify business opportunities, promote our products and services, and provide consultancy to our international partners and customers.
— University degree (MSc) in Geography or related environmental sciences, as well as a minimum of 5 years of professional working experience
— Professional experience in environmental topics at the nexus of natural and built-up environments
— Interest in working with geoinformation from the user perspective; knowledge of Earth
observation data and geographic information systems as well as international Earth observation
programs (e.g. Copernicus) desirable
— Professional experience in project management, controlling and reporting; relevant certification
advantageous (e.g. PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2)
— Ability to mediate stakeholder interests and consider technical and business aspects
— Experience in providing input to proposal writing beneficial
— Self-motivated, responsible and team-oriented work style
— Interest in working with international project partners and clients
— Strong communication and presentation skills
— Excellent command of English
