First Space call in FP7


Infoday and Brokerage Event on 8 March 2007

On 8 March 2007 the National Contact Point (NCP) Space Germany organises jointly with the NCPs from The Netherlands, Austria and Luxembourg an information day at the University of Duesseldorf, Germany (lecture hall: HS 26.11).

Potential applicants from Europe are invited to participate, conference language will be English.

In the morning the agenda will be dedicated mainly to the topic GMES. A representative of ESA??s GMES office will give a presentation on the history of GMES and the state of development. A speaker of the GMES bureau of the commission will thereafter talk about the political dimension of GMES with a special focus on the European Space Policy. Following this presentations the representative of the European Commission Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry will present the work programme for the 1st call and the main aspects of the Rules for partcipation. The last part of the morning session is reserved for ongoing GMES-projects from FP6.

In the afternoon, national space agencies from all Member States are invited to give their point of view on the 2nd topic of the work programme Strengthening the Foundation of Space Science and Technology?Æ. They can present current projects or ideas, as well.
After this, a presentation on legal, administrative, and financial aspects will be given.

Conclusively, the National Contact Points invite to a brokerage event, which will give the participants an opportunity to briefly present their ideas for projects for this call.
