ECOPOTENTIAL: improving future ecosystem benefits through earth observations

ECOPOTENTIAL is a European-funded H2020 flagship project that aims to support protected areas in applying earth observation (EO) tools for analysis and modelling of current and future state of ecosystem conditions and services. The scientific results will be used in developing requirements for future protected areas, supporting better decision-making and design of policy, as well as capacity building and knowledge exchange activities. The project focuses its activities and pilot actions on several Protected Areas across Europe, including many mountain areas such as the High Tatras in the Carpathians, observed and monitored by GRID-Warsaw.
