Marc Tondriaux

Chairman of Terranis SAS

Marc is Telecom and Signal Processing Engineer graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Télécoms (Paris, 1977), and got in 1996 an Executive MBA (from HEC/CPA ). After 7 years working as Telecom research engineer in CNET, he joined Matra Espace in 1985, and since then he has spent around 30 years in the space industry, mainly in Telecom and Earth Observation ground systems and applications development. He has been appointed as Director for Ground Systems at Matra Marconi Space in 1995.

In 2001, he created and became General Director of the Spot Infoterra group, gathering Spot Image and the Infoterra companies (in UK, Germany, France, Spain and Hungary). He ensured in particular the coordination of the Spot 6 and 7 investment case for EADS which led to the launch of these satellites in 2012. In 2010, he took the position of Strategic Business Development Director at EADS Astrium and he created the Astrium Consulting Group. In 2014 he left Airbus Group and founded TerraNIS SAS. Marc is now Chairman and main shareholder of TerraNIS, an SME of about 20 people specialized in Earth Observation applications for Agriculture, Viticulture and Environment monitoring. He acts as well as senior consultant in some export program. He is also general secretary of the French INSPACE association, in charge of the promotion of space applications towards local French institutions.
